I am trying to create custom page size of 7' x 10' in Word for Mac, Version 16.14.1 for a 300 page (+/-) document to be published online. I can create the custom size from 'Format' dropdown, using 'Document' page, and I can create the custom size for printer from 'File' dropdown, using 'Page Setup' page.
However, I cannot create a custom page size from 'Layout' tab, using 'Size' dropdown icon. 'Manage Custom Size' option does not appear. I am trying to create a PDF file using 'Share' in the 'File' dropdown to upload for online publishing, but each time I make the correct setting for 7x10 page size in 'Document' and 'Printer Setup' dropdown and click on 'Share,' a window pops up saying that I must choose a page size in the Word 'Page Layout' tab that matches the printer setting and the document setting. I cannot do it. Also, each time I close this document and re-open it, the 'Document' and 'Printer Setup' page size reverts to 'JIS B5'(7.17' x 10.12'), apparently a standard size used in Japan.
Give the new page size a name; Set the dimensions of the new page size and click Add/Modigy. Choose the new page size from the Adobe PDF Page Size menu and click OK. Print the document. The results should match the page size: Note: Word and other applications may complain about margins and paper size when you go to print. You can ignore these issues. Basic question: Is it possible to create a custom page size in Word for Mac, Version 16.14.1? If I understand what you're describing, your issue is that there is a limitation only when attempting to use the Size dropdown on the Layout tab of the Ribbon. If so, please save yourself some frustration:-) That device has been faulty since it was introduced in Word 2011 & has been reported numerous times. My guess is that since it causes no data loss or crashes that it ranks at the bottom of the ' fix this' totem pole. As an MVP my contributions here are purely voluntary.
